Who we are

Earth 2050 is a UK registered charity (no. 1207173). This notice says what we do with information when you use earth2050.com. Questions: info@earth2050.com.

What we collect, and why

• Visitor statistics (Google Analytics), only if you accept the cookie banner. Pages visited, films watched, country, device and language, with your IP address shortened before storage. Legal basis: your consent. You can change your mind at any time under "Cookie settings" in the footer; nothing is sent after you decline.
• Security and operation logs. Our hosting providers (Vercel, Cloudflare) record requests to keep the site running and safe, for a short time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site.
• Emails you send us. We keep your message and address for as long as we need to answer and for our records. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
• Videos. Films play through YouTube only after you press play; from then on YouTube (Google) applies its own privacy policy.

What stays on your device

Your cookie choice and the films you mark as favorites are stored in your browser only. We never see them.

Where data goes

Google and our hosting providers process data in the United States under their standard contractual safeguards. We do not sell data and we do not share it with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our use of it: info@earth2050.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk.

Children

The site is suitable for children. Analytics stays off until someone accepts it, and we collect nothing else.
